Many voters, including myself, have the feeling that Mitt Romney has no conception of how the middle class lives, so I'm offering to give him a real life understanding of what it takes to worry about making ends meet on a day to day basis.
I'm a 70 year old well educated retired Democrat in excellent physical shape, living on social security and a pension. I have a wonderful part time job that helps pay the bills.
I live in an old, but very nice rent controlled one and a den.
I'm offering to give Mr Romney my bedroom and I'll sleep in the den, if Mr Romney will stay with me for one week. He'll live as I live, go where I go and enjoy my lifestyle for one week. Mr Romney will also learn what I can buy and what I can't afford.
With luck, we'll both learn a great amount on how the other lives.
